21st International Geography Olympiad
\nBangkok, Thailand<\/h5>\n
Dear Fellow Geographers,<\/h5>\n
On behalf of the Bangkok 2025 iGeo Organising Committee, we are extremely pleased to invite you formally to represent your country\/place for the 21st International Geography Olympiad organized by the POSN Foundation and the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, under the auspices of the International Geography Union Steering Committee. The competition will be held on-site in Bangkok, Thailand, from the 26th July to the 1st August 2025.<\/h5>\n
The registration fee for entering the Bangkok 2025 iGeo competition is US $600.00 per student\/team leader or US$ 3,600.00 for a whole team (four students and two team leaders). One of the team leaders must be fluent in English and experienced in evaluating assignments to mark students’ written answers to the tests. For more details, please see the Statutes at www.geoolympiad.org<\/a>.<\/h5>\n
The expressions of interest period is from 1st December 2024 to 20th January 2025.<\/strong> You will be notified of the acceptance of your application within the registration time frame. To register for the Bangkok 2025 iGeo, please follow this link: https:\/\/igeo.olympus.org.za\/<\/a><\/h5>\n
The deadline for fee payment is 10th June 2025.<\/strong> Teams will receive details on making the payment after their applications have been approved.<\/h5>\n
The iGeo 2025 consists of three academic challenges over a week: Written Response Test, Fieldwork Exercise, and Multimedia Test. Since English is the official language of the iGeo, all tasks and related materials are presented in English, and students will be required to write their responses in English. Non-native English speakers will benefit from additional time allotment for the tests. For more information about the tests, please see the Guidelines for Tests at www.geoolympiad.org<\/a>. In addition to the tests mentioned above, the iGeo program, including a poster presentation, can be found on our website.<\/h5>\n
